Join Us for Worship, Church School & Fellowship!
Our 100th Anniversary
Worship and Church School (September thru May) begin at 10 a.m. every Sunday. The children begin their hour with a worship time in our fellowship hall and then move to their classes. At the close of worship, they join the congregation to share a learning or two and participate in the closing circle. Then everyone goes downstairs for refreshments and a time of fellowship.

Worship is always lively and upbeat with a variety of music styles, liturgy and leadership. We celebrate all major Christian holidays and observe the several seasons of the church year. Specially made banners and hangings often decorate the sanctuary to denote the season or a special accomplishment of the church or Church School.

The Lord's Supper (Holy Communion) is observed on the first Sunday of every month; the children also receive communion during their worship time.

We strive to be accessible for all. Our elevator is available to bring you from the parking lot level to the sanctuary level. A ramp on Clover Street accesses the sanctuary level. An accessible restroom is just off the sanctuary; another is on the lower level. Hearing devices amplify the spoken word as well as the musical offerings. Large type bulletins are available.

What is expected of a member?

Attend: Regular participation in Sunday morning worship with your faith family.

Give: Contributing to the operating, program and ministry expenses of the church.

Serve: Actively giving time and talent by serving on a committee, teaching Church School, singing in the choir, reading scripture or one of many other volunteer efforts available to members.

How do I become a member?

In the spring and fall, Pastor Judy and other church leaders meet with "seekers and joiners" in an exploration of our congregation's and our denomination's history, beliefs and culture. These informal sessions help those interested in membership decide if HPC is the right church for them. If the answer is "yes," members covenant* with the congregation during a special Sunday morning worship service.

If you are interested in attending the "seekers and joiners" classes, please contact the church office at theplaceofgrace@aol.com or 508-752-7489.

Right Hand of Fellowship extended to new members!

Seven individuals professed their faith in the Trinity on two Sundays in June 2013, and became members of Hadwen Park Congregational Church, UCC.  Our church family has been enriched by their varied backgrounds and talents.  Please welcome them with the right hand of fellowship when you see them!
Help make a
joyful noise
unto the Lord!

The HPC Choir is always happy to welcome new singers!  Contact Minister of Music Anne Arsenault to learn more or simply show up on Wednesday evening at 7 p.m. to hear a rehearsal and talk with Anne then.
New Members and a Baptism!

July 12 was a warm summer Sunday outside, but inside our hearts were warm, too, as we baptized a beautiful young woman (Cynthia) who told us about her experiences as one of our Youth Missionaries, as we welcomed four new members (Harold, Ellen, Eddie and Doreen), as we remembered a dear and faithful
friend (Jan), and as both children and
adults sang in our Pick-up Choir.
Welcome, friends!  We are so blessed!
