Ted Reinstein - author, journalist and reporter for "Chronicle", Boston's celebrated TV newsmagazine - returns to HPC to talk about the Battle of Bunker Hill and other stories 'of fact and folklore' for the 250th anniversary of the founding of the U.S. Join us on Sept. 24 for this enjoyable free program offered by HPC's Scout and Troop 22.
LGBT Asylum Task Force Gala!
We Persist: Join us Oct. 10 at Worcester’s Mechanics Hall for an evening of fundraising, community, and meaningful resistance alongside asylum seekers, volunteers, and supporters.
In this moment when LGBTQ rights, immigrant rights, and the right to asylum access are under attack, we choose to persist in our duty to protect LGBTQ asylum seekers on their journey to new beginnings.
This year marks 10 years of uplifting the voices and highlighting the struggles of LGBTQ asylum seekers at our annual Gala. Family Fun Day!
Open to all! Come for community fun at Buffumville Lake. Cookout, games of all kinds, music, the lake for swimming, and good company!
Movie Night!
Film for adults (rated R) is Watermelon Woman, the story of a young lesbian hoping to make a film that uncovers the identity of an enigmatic actress from the Hollywood era where Black Women were forced into servitude roles exclusively. In the process she shows the Philadelphia she’s always known and loved, a city full of Black Lesbian life that was previously undocumented. Subtitles provided upon request. Discussion and snacks follow. Rated R for harsh language including slurs and softcore LGBTQ discussions and intimacy.

An intimate roundtable discussion every third Monday, where members of the LGBTQ+ community, allies, and all who are interested in discussions of gender, gather to discuss various topics in a safe, confidential, and supportive environment. This initiative aims to provide a space for open conversation and community building. Pizza is served.

Summer Vacation School
Open to all children ages 5-11, and it’s free! Invite friends and neighbors. Runs Monday-Friday, 9 AM until noon and features stories, games, crafts, water play, singing, food, and more! Lunch and show on July 31. Children have the opportunity to sing in church on Aug. 2.
